Dressed Up For A Christmas Night Out!

Last night my husband and I along with his work colleagues dined at Canoe in Smyrna. This is one of my favourite restaurants. The restaurant overlooks the Chattahoochee River; it is so beautiful by day or night. The atmosphere, fine dining and excellent company made for a great evening.

Shopping at "The Avenue"

I have been meaning to explore a little further into the stores and malls in Atlanta. My choice for this week was ‘The Avenue” on Dallas Highway, Marietta GA.

The Avenue is an open-air, pedestrian friendly shopping destination
featuring premier national retailers, select local merchants and speciality restaurants.

I visited several of the shops including, Banana Republic, Francesca’s, Cold Water Creek, Loft, and Talbots.

Here are a couple of my purchases.

From Ann Taylor – LOFT

Loft Tweed Shift Dress $79.50

I chose this because, I loved the 60′s style of this dress. The detail is in the black faux leather trim on the front slit pocket and black faux leather trim around the exposed back zip. I teamed this with a long sleeved balck tee underneath. 2 outfits in one, either a dress or pinafore! How’s that for value for money.

Perfect with my Vince Camuto Ankle Boots.

The other similar dress/pinafore I really liked was:

My bargain though was a LBD in the sale, reduced by 50% to $49.99 and then reduced another 50% to $25!!

My Closet: Autumn/Winter Favourites

Opening my closet door, I thought I would share with you a couple of recent additions to my autumn/winter wardrobe.

Patent Tap Oxford - $178 from Madewell

These shoes have never been off my feet since I bought them, they are just so stylish and comfortable. Team with opaque tights, knits, skirts, prints jeans. A pretty flexible flat shoe indeed.

Ex Boyfriend Sweater from Madwell $69.50

Adore these ex-boyfriend sweaters, very versatile. Wear with Jeans, skirt or a print dress even under a cardy! Also comes in other colours as well as a bold red stripe pattern.

As you have guessed. My autumn/winter colour range is a mixture of black, taupe, cream, brown and coral. Fabrics and textures include; wool, faux fur, silk, cotton, denim, knits, leather and lace and that’s just the accessories!

I went to ‘The Avenue’ yesterday. I checked out the stores that included  Ann Taylor’s Loft, Talbots and Cold Water Creek. I will share my finds with you later this week.
