Of course Chanel has competition in this department with OPI being assisted in their advertising campaign with Nicki Minj and The Muppets YAY!

Inspired by some of our favorite characters, the OPI The Muppets Collection is a mixture of playful party shades and Christmas holiday colours. Razzmatazz gone wild! And what about the names!

Animal-Istic, Meep-Meep-Meep, Wocka-Wocka, Pepe’s Purple Passion, Designer De better!, Warm & Fozzie, Rainbow Connection, Excuse Moi!, Gone Gonzo!, Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Divine Swine, Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It.

Of course being a Miss Piggy fan, that has to be my personal fav!

All that glitters, is not just gold!

Chanel: Catwalk Nails

To show off their range of autumn nail colours, Chanel enlisted a Bob Fosse-style of dancing fingers to star in their truly glamorous ‘Shade Parade’ film.

The stars of the catwalk were sumptuous shades of nail colour, the video is sassy, stylish, chique and amusing.

Chanel’s Shade Parade, showcases a dolly mixture of the beauty house’s varnishes in the style of an old time musical or
cabaret. They are seen dancing, with elegance and humour, on the tips of fingers that emulate legs – perhaps those belonging to the Paris Lido Bluebell Girls or dancers at the Moulin Rouge - on a mirrored stage, swinging on strands of pearls and chains, and sashaying down stairs. All that is missing is the mink coat.

Like true movie divas: Dragon, a hot red, opens the show with a neat bit of tap dancing, Orange Fizz makes an entrance down the stairs, Black Pearl leaps over giant pearls while buff pink Inattendu swings on them;
others, like Rouge Noir, Jade Rose and Blue Satin, support the show like a line up of chorus girls.

This tongue-in-the-cheek, quirky marketing treatment works like magic because the the colour moves.
With the varnishes’ slick performance you get to see the shades in a different light and angle with every scene.

The more you watch the more detail you see. It’s beauty animation at its best.

Chanel renouned for their invention of the bestseller Rouge Noir, the colour of dried blood.  Along with Rouge Noir Chanel also captured the concept of the limited edition and product exclusiviity.

No doubt these little ladies will fly off the chanel nail shelves pretty quickly.
