Why did I feel the need to abandon my shopping curfew once again?

In my defence your honour, this item was purchased as an essential wardrobe piece for the Autumn/Winter months. The burgundy/red wine colour is the must colour for this season. This sleeveless style is so versatile to wear with, with jeans, trousers, skirts. under a pinafore over a long sleeve vest. Add a waist belt, wear under a casual jacket etc……

Also I have to confess….

To be taken into consideration, 2 pairs of wool tights!

I plead not guilty!

How to Wear the ‘Camouflage Trend’ this fall

The military and camouflage trends are back in vogue for this fall season. The styles extend a little more than just a pair or two of cargo pants or fatigues - yes, we have all had a pair, havent we?

To avoid looking like you are ready for a fashion war!

  1. Keep it simple, choose 1 main camouflage (camo) piece, whether it be a jacket, skirt, pants, dress.
  2. Tone the outfit down a little by wearing something to compliment the ‘camouflage look’ such as a plain tee-shirt or top.
  3. accessorize with a cuff, or just a hint of bling is fine.

Casual Dressing

A few days ago I bought some cobalt blue skinny jeans and a lovely Ikat scarf. The problem is ‘What to wear with them?’

These jeans were a bargain at $25 from JCPenney. They look great with the bottoms turned up, with sandals or flats.

Scarf was bought at Charming Charlie’s $15

I desperately need a couple of tops to wear with these jeans. I am going shopping tomorrow wearing the jeans, so I can see what goes with them. Looking in my closet, tops and shirts tend to be either black/white or neutrals, only a couple have some colour. So, I am on the lookout for a pretty printed shirt/blouse, or one or two bright colour block tops.

Meanwhile, I am going out to lunch first so what do I have in my closet that I can match up?
