Model Cara Delevingne was spotted recently wearing a ”Bad Ass” Cécile Tee shirt by unknown designers at Paris Fashion Week recently, sparking gossip about who is behind this British Brand?

According to Vogue News; “The founders of the label – a small group of experienced industry experts – wish to remain anonymous so that the focus is always on the collections, rather than the designers, but they admit that endorsement couldn’t come better than from that of fashion’s model-of-the-moment.”

London-based, the brand describe the label as “bold, luxe street, French and not too serious with a side of mange tout”- a nod to the label’s playful aesthetic. T-shirts come either bearing bright colourful motifs or witty slogans – such as “Written and directed by Woody Allen”.

It was important for the designers to produce quality tee shirts at affordable prices, that can be worn easily teamed with high-end brands or high street essentials. I love the casual, smart, stylish, sassy quality about this label.

They seem to have captured the market as their designs are literally sold out. However, there are still some availability at Liberty of London.

Coming soon for Autumn/Winter 2013/2014

Bargain Shopping at TJ Maxx

Bargain Shopping at TJ Maxx

Today, I decided to pop into TJ Maxx as I havent been in the store for a while. Plus, my gym trousers were looking a little jaded and faded, so I was on the lookout for a new pair.

While I was in the store I thought I may as well take the opportunity to browse around. Now I am normally not a TJ Maxx clothing shopper. The reason being is that fashion and styles in our local store leave a lot to be desired in my opinion.

However, today I spied a couple of items – No, I am not completely “eating my words”

Animal print cardigan by Willie Smith – original price $50 reduced to $15

Wool blend mustard skirt with exposed back zip from Dalia Collection orignal price $40 – TJ Maxx price $19.99

Worn with a black silk sleeveless top also with exposed zip from topshop (old)

Perfect with the cardigan as a jacket.

Wear with a sleeveless jumper – White House Black Market (old) or even a black long-sleeved tee.

As we are meeting up with friends on friday evening for a ‘pub crawl/drinks/food/dinner,’ not a formal dressing for dinner occasion, I was undecided what to wear, but not anymore.

Black tights with  boots, bootees or shoes. My next dilemma.

Vince Camuto Aviator Sheep double zip ankle boots

My Louboutins

or Enzo Angiolini shoes (old)

Which would you choose to go with my bargain shopping items at TJ Maxx ?

Oh, did I manage to find gym trousers? Yes I did $12.99. A very good day for bargain hunting at TJ Maxx.

Out and About – Streetstyle

Out and About – Streetstyle

Heading for a little retail therapy before meeting my friend for a spot of light lunch, a small glass of wine and general chatter. As I was walking through the mall, I spied these lovely ladies who gallantly agreed to have their photographs taken for my blog.

This lady’s name was Marsha whom I met in Bloomingdales. She was simply and perfectly coordinated, looking so elegant, striding out with confidence. I loved the way she tied her hair in a fabulous scarf.

This lady was a sales advisor for Nars cosmetics. Her name Caphale came from both her parents christian names – truly unique and a beautiful lady. Once again ‘hair-dressing’ seems to be the ‘In’ look of the day.

Hira I spotted literally running through the mall, but she kindly stopped for me to take her picture. Casual in jeans, tee and Doc Martens but look at the hat, so cool. I feel there is a theme going on here!

Last but not least I spotted two ladies who were a little camera shy at first. They were looking for Louis Vuitton.

Arlene and Ann, demonstrating their penchant for animal prints, complimenting each others style.

Off they went in search of Louis Vuitton.

Resort 2013: New York

Resort 2013: New York

Being selective my choice would be 2 designers from yesterday 6th June.

Thakoon Addition & Kelly Wearstler.

Thakoon Addition; Resort 2013

Why did I choose this particular designer? I adored the unique sophisticated feminine designs. Patterns meets animal prints, tropical  jungle inspiration, with a sultry edge.

Kelly Wearstler; Resort 2013

The theme allegedly is “animals that attack”

Whether, your preference is the prowling tiger-print blouses with leather accents, the slashed top signalling attack! or the shift dress with a graphic triangular pattern meant to conjure up snapping, serrated teeth. You can almost feel the feline jaguar/tiger stalking her prey.

What is your take on my choices from 6th June Resort 2013; New York?
