More From London Fashion Week: Temperley of London.

Renowned around the globe for her exclusive evening gowns, cocktail dresses and of course her bridal gowns. Alice Temperley has dressed the best from royalty, to the red carpet, celebrities include among others: The Duchess of Cambridge, J Lo, Anna Friel, Beyoncé, Rhianna, Emma Watson and Jessica Biel. The list is endless.

Her attention to detail is second to none, dressing women as they should be dressed. As her website states “Alice Temperley’s timeless, feminine designs combine meticulous detail and embellishments with an English eccentricity and personality
drawing on everything British; Temperley is the modern-day ‘Cool Britannia’.”

I was literally ‘chomping at the bit’ to see her LFW Fall 2013 RTW Collection. I can safely say I could swoon with delight.

It’s so hard to put into words how to describe Alice Temperley’s collection at LFW fall 2013. To even attempt to do so, would never do it justice. So here in a few words.

Perfection, sheer perfection. From smart, sassy day, cultured outerwear, to billowing evening gowns, enchanting, elegant and beautiful.

London Fashion Week SS13. Highlights of Yesterdays Collections

London Fashion Week SS13. Highlights of Yesterdays Collections

It seems that London is literally on fire. This year being the Queen’s jubilee year, then there was Wimbledon, plus the undeniable success of the Olympic games and now London Fashion Week.

London in my mind is the epicentre of the fashion industry. So, many uniquely talented designers who are not afraid to experiment with designs, fabrics, textures, colour and patterns.

These are a couple of the highlights from yesterdays collection. Two amazing women with a totally different styles.

Temperley, LondonAlice Temperley as we all know is a favourite of Kate Duchess of Cambridge.

She stated that her ideal client would be: “A sexy, strong, well-travelled and confident woman. She knows her own identity but yet is comfortable enough to experiment with different styles and shapes.”

Temperley’s mix of delicate prints, sheers, incorporated into both daytime and sophisticated evening wear.

The return of the dirndl skirt!

In Contrast: Vivienne Westwoodknown for her sometimes outrageous punk style. I love this 50′s inspired collection.

Less Is More. Effortlessly Chique.

The Christmas Festivities are behind us for another year, as we take down our decorations, do we reflect a little on 2011? Or are you now embracing the grand entrance of 2012? As the saying goes “Out with the old, in with the new”

After all the bling, sequins and sparkle of the last couple of months. (Who doesn’t like getting dressed up in something extra special?)

It’s time for ……”Effortlessly Chique” or “Less is more”

What do I mean? Well, its kind of a transition from “All that Jazz” to ….Best described in pictures.

Take a look these lovely English Roses, who I think have the perfect balance.

The Duchess of Cambridge

Heading to a football match with her brother-in-law Prince Harry. Kate was dressed for the weather stylishly in a roll neck HoneyComb jumper by Temperley London, teamed with a chocolate brown fur-lined coat and jeans. She sported a fedora to keep warm adding Le Chameau Wellington boots to complete the country casuals look.

Alexa Chung

Earlier this year Alexa Chung styled up one of designer’s Stella McCartney LDDs (little denim dresses) for an easy look. She paired her denim sheath with moss-hued Chloé snakeskin pumps and a boxy satchel

Kate Moss

Kate Sports her own denim look at Mulberry SS2012

Victoria Beckham

This beautifully designed above the knee peach dress with short sleeves, flat necklines and double side pockets is simply stunning. Of course she is famous for wearing her sky scraper heels, these nude pumps by Louboutin are perfect.

Although all these ladies look as though they have just thrown together their outfits for the day. You can be sure that isnt so.

Effortlessly chique is the style achieved, BUT behind the scenes – lots of thought and effort to achieve the look!

London Fashion Week: Highlights of the Week

London Fashion Week has brought together the best of British
and international design talent in London, the world’s newly crowned fashion
capital.

London Fashion Week has already come to an end – the five-day event flew by. Book ended by Marc Jacobs taking the final slot in New York and
Gucci
opening in Milan, LFW had a very small to window to strut
their stuff. This aroused a milay of disgust from the model agencies and of some London designers, with Gucci cherry picking models for its collection in Milan.

On a more positive note here and some of the highlights.

Vogue Chief Editor Anna Wintour, supporting British Fashion.

Celebrity front rowers including among many others actress Sienna Miller.

London Fashion Week: Pippa Middleton appears at Temperley

Pippa Middleton surprised everyone by turning up at the Temperley London show on the fourth day of London Fashion Week.

For her first Spring 2012 fashion week appearance, Pippa chose a striking cream and black doily patterned dress, which she accessorized with a black clutch bag andblack suede booties (that she recently wore last week). Following in the footsteps of her sister Kate who is always being unfairly named as “Recycling Kate”. Both sisters are known to be fans of Alice Temperley.

Pippa sat alongside actresses Rosario Dawson and Laura Bailey as well as British
journalist, television presenter and model Peaches Geldof.

While Laura Bailey also wore black and cream, Rosario Dawson and Peaches Geldof both wore lovely red outfits that made them stand out from the rest. Pippa took centre stage literally!

Spring/summer 2012 inspirations: “This season my key themes are the Silver Screen; sensual and powerful women; masculine, ultra feminine, elegant elongated silhouettes; and the notion of Grace”, stated Alice Temperley.
