Do you have identifying labels/ribbons/stickers plastered on the front/back so you can see it coming through the airport baggage terminal? What does your luggage say about you?

Shopping at Target

Shopping at Target

I have to admit that I was not a ‘Target shopper’ until recently. I had ventured into the store a few times, but I couldn’t seem to develop a shopping relationship with the store for some reason.

More recently however, I have found myself visiting our local Target more frequently. Whether, recent collaborations has something to do with it, or just the fact that the scope of the store is phenomenal, of course there is no doubt that price wise Target has added value. So much choice for so little bucks!

I have bought recently a combination of household goods, from curtain poles to a stainless steel kitchen bin, from birthday cards to gym attire. But this week I focused on fashion.

I headed for the shoe department first. Well you know my shoe fetish has to be fed constantly.

What did I find here?

Aqua semi neon toe post sandals $15 at Target

Other colours available Neon Pink and Black.

Black wedge sandal on sale $19.99

The perfect summer wedge and so comfortable!

With prices as low as these I had to buy 2 pairs! You just have to!

My TARGET Online choices

“The Webster” $34.99

“Tallulah Madelon” Wedge Sandal $34.99

“Merona Estefani” Embellished sandal $24.99

“Haley Jeans Co” low wedge sandal $24.99

“Merona Eireen” Wedge sandal $24.99

I was also pleasantly surprised at their swimwear and pretty summer dresses. Check out Target online.

Needless to say it may have taken me a while but… I am definitely a Target shopper!

Have you visited Target lately?

What has been your Target experience?

Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Stores

Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Stores

Are you a Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Store shopper or browser?

I am familiar with the “Charity Shops” in the UK,  as I have donated so many things  over the years. But until recently I had not discovered the American version.

Click below to get an idea of the UK style of Charity Shops featuring;

Mary Portas Queen of the Charity Shops

My friend Jayne introduced me to the Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Stores over here in the USA. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first.  I had a vision of something resembling a poor mans flea market. But, I admit it,  I was pleasantly surprised, Why?

Store organisation, by that I mean; items sorted by colour, size, type of garment, footwear, jewelry, accessories.

Shop by the season, for example right now, the summer line is closing and the store will be accepting shortly pre-fall items!

Designer labels at affordable prices. Glass cabinets display a variety of goods by Coach, Christian Louboutin, Kate Spade  Salvatore Ferragamo and more.

Aromatherapy essences greet you at the door, background music plays in the distance, there are changing rooms, mirrors.  A veritable Aladdin’s cave or Stylish Boutique?

Consignment Stores have an added bonus in that you get the chance to earn money from your recycling! The Thrift/Consignment Store mentioned below takes 50% of the profit made from selling your items. When you open an account, the consignment store/boutique will email a list of the items you have taken in to be sold, along with the prices that will appear on the clothes tags initially – they may be discounted at a later date if the items don’t sell. It is down to you to contact the store to see how your account stands. Then the choice is yours whether to spend in store or a receive a cheque.

A win-win in my book. Out with the old to make room for the new!

This was a store in Marietta called Urban Renewal.

I also visited a Thrift & Vintage Store in Virginia Highlands

This has a store had a definite vintage boutique style about it.

Watch a short video from Fox 5 about the upsurge in Thrift Stores and the charities that profit from them.

There is no doubt that these kind of stores have undergone a transformation over the last few years and they are thriving. Is this a ’Second Hand Store Revival’ under the new guise of Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Stores?

Go and take a look, you maybe surprised at what you might find.

Are you a Thrift/Consignment/Vintage Store Shopper?

Do you shop for “Vintage Clothes” online at places such as Asos Market PlaceEbay, Modcloth?

What is your best find?

My Arbonne Launch

My Arbonne Launch

Last friday saw the launch of My Arbonne business. Although I became an Arbonne Consultant a few months ago, I have had to delay my “official launch” until the 20th July.

Despite the fact we still have no kitchen cabinets as yet, I was determined not to let this interfere with the launch, also known as ”My Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.”

I had sent out e-vites from the Arbonne Host Rewards website 10 days before the event to friends, acquaintances and colleagues.

We had a lovely group of ladies attending on friday evening. My sponsor was Lucy Mc Bride – An independent Consultant and District Manager with Arbonne who has helped me out enormously in understanding the “Network Marketing” business.

The event began with a glass of wine in hand with introductions made, we all listened intently to one another about “Our dreams and goals in life”. A couple of hand-bag games later with prizes, wine glasses refilled, we were ready to have some serious      R & R.

Lucy talked very knowledgeably about Arbonne Skincare, Health & Wellness before the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Myself and Lucy

An evening of entertainment and fun, not to be missed!

There were then opportunities to sample products, have a bite to eat and meet my hubby, who had escaped to the golf range earlier.

Then we moved to look at Arbonne products in particular the RE9 Advance range

The Cremé de la Cremé of skincare.

Next came the cosmetic range, where we all became one with 50 shades of….lipstick – Red lipstick!

Lipstick ‘Jam’ -$25

Lipstick ‘Strawberry’ – $25

We talked, laughed, listened to each others conversations, sampled the products and had such an amazing time.

If you have not tried Arbonne Skincare – Health & Wellness, you are really going to be excited and surprised with their botanically based products.

Check out “My Arbonne” page on my blog. Or the Arbonne website.

More more information go to Stylebyladyg/Arbonne

My next evening event will be on the 2nd August, interested in a little R & R? Want to try on your own shade of lipstick? Enjoy a free ultimate facial with the RE9 Advanced? What are you waiting for ladies?

E mail me at Stylebyladyg@myarbonne.com

A huge thank you to those special ladies who made the evening so much fun.

Sequins and Denim

Sequins and Denim

LadyG and Mr SBLG (Stylebyladyg) were out and about the other evening.

Having just ordered our kitchen cabinets and feeling very excited, we decided to call for a glass of wine/beer to celebrate and possibly treat ourselves to some take out food. Washing  dishes after cooking at home using a small bowl and the kettle for hot water is not my idea of fun!

We called at RubyTuesday to relax and enjoy a drink and look at the menu.

I do enjoy the food there, the salad bar is so good. Plus the fact it is not expensive, which is always a bonus.

What did I wear?

Sequins and Denim

Do my boobs look big in this? I didn’t realise until this picture. Maybe its the way I am standing? Maybe it’s the hormones? Maybe……….

Sequin Top from Wallis old (UK). I love this tank, the sequins seem to change colour with the light, hues of silver, gold, brown and blue.

My denim jeans are from the CAbi Collection  - Bree Jeans now $98 (size 2 no less!). They are the most comfortable Jeans ever, seriously, these have to be the best pair of jeans that I own. Click above to view the Fall Collection.

Necklace a gift from my daughter and her boyfriend from their recent visit to Turkey. I needed to add the chain, but only had a silver chain in my jewelry box. I think it probably would suit a gold chain. What do you think?

Maybe I shouldn’t have had the second glass of wine!

Nine West shoes not seen in the pictures above.

Similar here Nine West

Nine West “Flute” Pump $99

Nude shoes have to be a must for your wardrobe, they are so versatile no matter what the season.

Todays outfit is all about Sequins and Denim.

Do you have a favourite casual outfit, or a special pair of jeans?
